Mr Coffee Frape

Have you tried this frape maker yet? You should.. I put mine up for during the winter, and just got it back out.. To me.. You can make frape's that taste much much better than McDonalds Frapes.. All you need is.. Starbucks Espresso

The Chocolate Chip Mocha Frape:
To prepare coffee:
1/2 cup water
3 heaping teaspoons of espresso
(the recipe calls for 3 tablespoons, but it is way to strong like that to me!)

Prepare in blender:
2 cups icecubes (fill to max ice line)
3 table spoons suger
(it calls for only 2 tablespoons, but I like mine really sweet)
2 tablespoons chocolate chips
1 tablespoon of hersheys chocolate syrup
1/4 cup whole milk

and Press "Frape"

**I also add a tablespoon of caramel.. It just gives it somemore taste!

Enjoy :)

Christmas Baking

Mom and I did some Christmas baking last night. We made Rum balls and Chocolate covered pretzels.  Yummy... Ok heres how to make these delecious sweets..

Rum Balls:

1. 1 box vanilla wafers
2. 1 cup powered sugar

3. 4 tbsp light karo syrup

4. 1/2 cup rum or whiskey

5. 2 tbsp cocoa

6. 2 cup finely chopped pecans.

I usually buy the pecans in the baking aisle that are already packaged up finely chopped. It saves the mess of cracking pecans, shelling them, and chopping them. Super time saver. But you do have to crush up at the vanilla wafers. After the chop the pecans and crush the vanilla wafers, mix everything in the bowl together. It will be super super sticky. The easiet way to roll the mixture into small balls is to put some powered sugar on your hands so it doesn't stick to you as much. But roll them into small balls, and then roll around in powered sugar. Keep them in a air tight container.

Chocolate covered pretzels:

1. 2 Packages White Chocolate Bark
2. 1 Large bag of pretzels
3. Sprinkles

Melt white chocolate bark on low heat.  Dip pretzels and lay on to wax paper.  Sprinkle with some sprinkles.  Let them harden, then they are good enough to eat! These are super easy to make.

I found this recipe off of Life Of a Suburban Princess, Im going home and making some of these tonight.  I have a few neighbors I want to send some food gifts out to.  So I plan on making these, the pretzels, and some rumballs; wrapping them up in some celophane bags with a ribbon or two to show my neighbors how much I appreciate them.

My favorite gift I have ever recieved? Im not too sure. I always love everything I get.  One year, when my Grandma was still here with us, she gave me a diamond dust necklace. Boy, did I love it. I wore it all the time and I still do. Its beautiful.

The best I have ever given?  Well I can't say.  It will be a Christmas present this year for someone.  I will be posting pics of it later on with a tutorial though.

Snowman Treats

These look super easy to make and I can't wait to try them.  These are super simple snowman treats.  You can whip up these mini men in minutes. Roll pieces of marzipan into balls and dip them into confectioners' sugar; connect with toothpicks. Use marzipan dyed red to shape the hat and scarf and dyed orange for the nose. Finishing touches: brown toothpick arms and tiny chocolate chips for the eyes, mouth, and buttons.  This would be a fun food project to do with your kids. (Marzipan is a sweet almond and sugar paste)

I've been really craving a pumpkin pie lately. I love to bake so this was perfect. I found this delicious recipe on the internet on MomsWhoThink.Com.

This recipe was super easy to make and took hardly any time at all. Once you mix all your ingredients together it was a piece of cake. The only thing about this recipe you end up with to much pie filling and have to leave a little out. Other than that, this is the best one I have ever had.

Ingredients:
2 cups Pumpkin
3 eggs
1 1/4 cups of half and half
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 cloves
9" round pie shell

Recipe:
Preheat oven at 350. Bake pie shell only until lightly brown. Let the pie shell cool completely. Place pumpkin in large mixing bowl. In seperate bowl, beat eggs well, then add half and half, vanilla extract, brown sugar, salt, spices. Blend thoroughly. Add pumpkin then mix well again. Poor pumpkin mixture into pie shell. Place on middle rack and bake for 30-40 minutes.

Look at what I won from a wonderful giveaway. I was the runnerup winner.
wax covered ornies, chocolate (minus one bc Chris ate it before I took the picture), a caramel apple, tart, rag garland ( which is hanging on my mantle), and a calender! (: The garland smells strong like cinnamon just like the tart does. Thank you again.
Her blog is at One Simple Country Girl Go over and take a peek if you would like!
I made this to die for chicken last night. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT! I didn't get a picture of it. But its so good. Recipe: Preheat oven at 350. Take chicken tenderloins and cut in half and smaller pieces ( your preference). Place them into glass baking dish. Put about 5 or 6 spoonfuls of butter on top chicken. Dice some onion into very small pieces. and add salt, pepper, and seasoning salt. Add all ingredients to chicken and bake for about 15-20 minutes (until done) then add just a small amount of cooking wine (sherry or white wine will work). Top with parsley and parmesion cheese. Bake for 5-10 more minutes. Then Its Done. Bon Ape'tite (:

Rainy Day

It has done nothing but rain today. So what better to do than sit inside and sew. Mom helped me complete the apron and bagholder for the ad in Country Sampler. Let me know what you think please (: I'm still trying to get my website up and running. Remember it will have my line of aprons along with the Sami's Stitchery's line.

You have to try this! Peach Cobler!

1 large can of peaches (or 2 smaller cans)
1 cup self rising flour
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 stick butter

-Preheat oven on 350 degrees. Melt butter and place into baking dish. Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and milk together in bowl. DO NOT over stir. It will still be slightly lumpy. Place mixture in baking dish. (Note: butter will rise up into corners of dish.) Spoon in peaches and juice into batter. Try to distribute the peaches evenly throughout the dish but do NOT stir it. I usually use a little extra sugar on top of batter and peaches. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until lightly brown. Enjoy with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream.
